Hello, I’m Sia, the director of Beautyologist. I founded Beautyologist 20 years ago out of my own struggles with skin issues. As a Fashion Design Assistant for a prestigious brand, I was living my dream job. Yet, behind the scenes, I was grappling with skin issues that severely impacted my confidence. Despite wearing the most cutting-edge fashion, I felt a profound sense of insecurity because my skin wasn’t clear and smooth. I vividly recall resorting to cutting a fringe to conceal the acne on my forehead, desperate to hide my struggles from others. I battled severe acne, blemishes, oiliness, and scarring. Back then, skincare technology was limited—it was either harsh or not potent enough for youthful, sensitive skin like mine. There were no lactic acids, just glycolic and benzoyl peroxide, which left my skin feeling stripped, sensitive, and raw. This only exacerbated my issues by stripping my natural oils and triggering more breakouts in a vicious cycle. I tried prescription medications like antibiotics and Roaccutane, but they caused additional problems, leading my dermatologist to discontinue them after a month.

Feeling insecure, dirty, and unattractive, I realised that my skin issues were impacting every aspect of my life, relationships, and social interactions. Determined to find a solution not just for myself but also for every 18-year-old girl struggling like I was, I made a life-changing decision to leave the fashion industry and pursue a career as an aesthetician.

Now, 24 years later, I am 46 and I have never looked back. With numerous awards and an exceptional team of Dermal Clinicians and Beauty Therapists by my side, we are deeply passionate about skin and dedicated to making our customers happy.

I am now a Dermal Therapist who will be conducting the Zoon Consultations. Prepare to be heard, cared for and matched with one of my incredible therapists to be able to give you the support you deserve.

A Zoom skin consultation encompasses a thorough assessment of your skin needs and desires, both for your current condition and future prevention. This includes personalised skincare recommendations tailored to address your specific concerns. Additionally, the consultation may involve suggestions for internal support through supplements to enhance your overall inner health, which directly impacts the health and appearance of your skin—the body’s largest organ.

Upon completion of your appointment, you’ll enjoy a $50 credit towards your skincare purchases.

Please note that cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment, reschedules and no-shows will result in forfeiture of the booking fee, without exceptions.

These sessions are available between 6-9pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in May and go for 30 mins.
